Yes — our Registered Address plans allow you to use the Generator Hub address as your official registered office with Companies House. If your service ends, you'll need to update your registered address accordingly.
We hold your mail securely. Post can be collected between 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. You'll need to show ID when collecting, and if you'd like someone else to collect on your behalf, just let us know in advance by email. Standard letters are retained for up to three months.
We open your mail carefully and scan it the day it arrives. For added security, scans aren't sent as email attachments — they're uploaded to secure, encrypted cloud storage. You'll get an email letting you know new documents are ready, with a secure access link, and the password is sent separately to your mobile by text. Original documents are kept for up to 30 days — if you'd like them forwarded, just request this within that period and we'll arrange it.
Mail forwarding is included in the Post Forwarding plans. For other plans, forwarding can be arranged on request — postage is charged at cost plus a small 20% admin fee. Mail is only dispatched once charges are paid.
We accept small parcels on an ad-hoc basis, but we're not a parcel depot. Here's what you need to know:
Forwarding plans — the maximum item size we can forward as part of your plan is a large letter (currently up to 353mm × 250mm × 25mm, max 750g — this may change in line with Royal Mail updates). Royal Mail size guide →
Anything larger than a large letter will either need to be collected in person, or can be forwarded at an additional charge (postage at cost plus a 20% admin fee) — it won't be included in your standard plan.
Parcels up to 2kg — collect within 5 business days of notification, or we can forward as franked mail at postage cost plus a 20% admin fee (payment must be made before posting).
Parcels over 2kg and up to 5kg — collect within 5 business days, or we can forward via the Royal Mail Collection service at cost plus a 20% admin fee.
In all cases, parcels aren't posted until payment has been made — if payment isn't received within 5 days, the parcel will be returned to sender.
Parcels over 5kg — rejected at source and returned to sender. Please make sure your couriers and suppliers are aware of this before placing any orders.
Parcels for collection must be collected within five working days of us notifying you, with valid photo ID.
As a registered company service provider, we're required by law to carry out Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks on every new customer before they can use our address. This is a legal requirement under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds Regulations 2017 — it's not something we can skip, regardless of plan.
These checks are part of a process known as Know Your Customer (KYC), and typically include:
Photo ID — a valid passport or driving licence
Proof of address — a recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax letter (within 3 months)
Business verification — for limited companies, we'll verify your Companies House registration
Here's how it works: once you've paid the one-time £30 set-up fee, we'll send you a simple checklist of what we need. Your address service will be activated as soon as we've completed the checks — which we aim to turn around quickly. You won't be able to use the address until this process is complete, so we'd recommend getting your documents ready in advance.
Any questions? Just get in touch — we're happy to walk you through it.
Our plans are designed for normal business correspondence — the kind of mail a typical small business or sole trader receives day to day. Think invoices, bank letters, HMRC notices, supplier correspondence, and the occasional card or package.
What's not included: if your company starts receiving an unusually high volume of mail — for example, large quantities of marketing mail, regular bulk deliveries, or volumes that create a significant administrative or storage burden for our team — we reserve the right to discuss the situation with you and, where necessary, apply an additional charge to cover the extra handling involved.
In practice: most customers never come close to fair use limits, and we'll always speak to you before any additional charges are applied. If you're expecting a period of higher-than-usual mail volume — just give us a heads-up and we can agree a sensible arrangement in advance.
The simplest rule of thumb: if you're using the address as a genuine business address rather than as a mail handling centre, you'll be absolutely fine.
You can cancel by giving us at least one full calendar month's written notice once your minimum term is served. We reserve the right to suspend services if payments are overdue or our terms are breached.
Full terms and conditions are available on request. Services are provided by Cowork Ventures Ltd trading as Generator Hub and governed by the laws of England and Wales. · Read our complete guide to business addresses & mail handling →
